The Accu-Therm® Plate Cooler, also known as plate heat exchangers, enable you to reduce refrigeration costs by utilizing your water supply. With the Accu-Therm plate coolers, you can precool warm milk before it enters your milk cooler by using your existing water supply. The warm water, after being used in the cooling process, is then available for animal consumption at your dairy facility. This precooling process can reduce the time and energy needed to achieve the proper temperatures in your bulk tank by as much as 50 percent.

The plate cooler consist of a series of stainless steel plates compressed into a sturdy frame. These plates are separated by gaskets that create flow channels on either side. Cool water flows down the channel on one side while warm milk flows up the opposite side. As the warm milk travels through the plates, its temperature decreases by transferring heat to the cool water. This efficient design allows for rapid precooling, ensuring optimal performance in your dairy milk cooling system.
